How far in advance should I book my tour?

For PERSONALIZED TOURS, the more notice you give us the better. We make every effort possible to accommodate each run request. However, requests for running tours within a 24 hour period are subject to guide availability. If booking within 24 hours of the requested time, a CRT representative will contact you via phone to confirm your request. For our SCHEDULED TOURS, registration is open until 24 hours prior to the day before the scheduled run. See refund policy below.


How will I keep pace?

For a PERSONALIZED TOUR, we run at your pace, walk or stop if you need or want to. For SCHEDULED TOURS, depending on the number of people, we will have several guides ready to lead different running paces (approximately 1 guide/6 runners). If you are concerned about your ability to keep up, please CONTACT the manager of the city you wish to run in to inquire. Please do not worry - we will not leave you behind!


Are we running the whole time?

Our PERSONALIZED TOURS are based on your preference. We can design your route so that there are no stops. However, we are always willing to stop or walk if necessary. Our SCHEDULED TOURS are designed with designated stops throughout the route. This way, we make sure everyone stays together and gets to hear all the information along the route.


Will there be anything to drink?

Guides will provide water (see the run listing to be sure). With our SCHEDULED TOURS, if you would like water you are responsible for carrying the water during the run.


What if I am running late?

Please give your guide a call if you are running late. For PERSONALIZED TOURS, your guide will wait 15 minutes after the scheduled time. For SCHEDULE TOURS, if we don’t hear from you and the group is ready to leave, we will not wait. Your running guide will contact you to inquire if you will be joining the group. Please make sure we are notified with the best way to reach you while you are in town.


Will there be both men and women?

Yes, our runs are generally co-ed.


Will somebody be able carry anything for me? (wallet, keys, phone, cameras etc..)

Yes, your guide runs with a small runners backpack so they will be able carry smaller items.


Are gift certificates available for the running tours?

Yes, you can currently purchase gift certificates through our website. Click here for our gift certificate page. These gift certificates can be purchased for both personalized and group running tours. They can also be customized and emailed to you. See below for gift certificate refund information.


Are there bathrooms along the route?

On any route that we run, we can always find a bathroom for you to use. We do have specific routes that run by some of the public bathrooms located throughout the city. If you feel it is necessary to make sure there are bathrooms along the route please let us know ahead of time.


What happens if the weather is bad?

Our goal is to accommodate your request so we are willing to run through all types of weather if you still would like to run. If the weather does not allow for the run to take place, a rain date will be provided. If you are unable to join the rescheduled tour a refund will be provided.


Are we allowed to tip our running guide?

Yes! Tips are not required but they are encouraged and greatly appreciated.


When do you drink beer on the beer runs?

Beer is only offered after the run is complete, not during the run. One beer is complimentary for each participating runner. Please remember to bring your ID for this run.


Is there an age limit on the tours?

There is not an age limit on our tours, however if you have younger children who are going to be running and may run at a slower pace, we encourage you to schedule a personalized running tour.


Are jog strollers allowed on the tours?

Jog strollers are allowed on certain running tours depending on the city and the tour. Please CONTACT the manager of the city you wish to run in to inquire.

Refunds?

Refunds are issued 48 hours prior to your scheduled run. We will issue a refund within 48 hours only in the event of an emergency or due to inclement weather. In case of bad weather we will try to reschedule your run for another day if possible with your schedule. If we are unable to do so then we will refund you.

All cancellations with 48 hours of your scheduled will receive a raincheck for a future tour which can be schedule on the same trip or a future visit. It can also be transferred to a tour in another on of our cities.

Gift certificates purchased are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Refunds for gift certificates are only given within one month of purchase.

Rescheduling

If you missed your original scheduled tour (due to any reason other than an emergency) and call us prior to your tour to reschedule, we will issue a raincheck for a running tour on another date.

What is Cancellation Insurance?

Cancellation insurance covers you for ANY reason. No proof required. We recommend insurance because there are many circumstances which are out of one’s control such as:

  • Flight delays and cancellations

  • Illness/injury

  • Family emergencies

  • Party to hard the night before the tour

  • etc.

Cancellation insurance covers you in the event you need to cancel your tour after the normal cancellation deadline. (Less than 48 hours in advance of your scheduled tour)

You can purchase this insurance on any of our tours for an additional fee added to the total tour cost.

In the event you cancel before the normal deadline, you will be refunded for all costs, including the cost of the cancellation insurance.

If a guest does not purchase cancellation insurance and cancels after the normal deadline, we will not issue a refund.
