IRISH HISTORY Tour
The Irish community is one of New York's major and important ethnic groups, and has been a significant proportion of the city's population since the waves of immigration in the late 19th century. As we celebrate St. Patrick's day join City Running Tours and experience the rich Irish history throughout New York City. With stops including the Irish Hunger Memorial, Five Points, Little Ireland, McSorley's and more. At the conclusion of the tour we will treat you to 2 of McSorley's finest (one light and one dark)!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THIS TOUR...
The tour will be a casually paced run that takes you through lower Manhattan up to Greenwich Village. There are a few planned stops along the route where your guide will point out items of interest as well as good photo opportunities.
There will not be a coat/bag check for this tour. Your running guide will be using a running backpack and will carry small items for you if necessary. The ending location for this tour will be McSorley's Old Ale House (15 E 7th St). At the conclusion of the running tour, your running guide will treat you to 2 of McSorley's finest. You must bring your ID and be 21 to drink. Runners under 21 may participate in the tour but are not permitted to drink alcohol. Your running guide will direct you to nearest subway back to where you are staying.
Although this is not a race we do ask for your running pace so we can be prepared for different ruining abilities. More than one guide will be provided depending on group size as well as varied paces. Please do not worry - we will not leave you behind!
Your running guide will be wearing a City Running Tours t-shirt (weather permitting). Your running guide will provide water for each participant and will be running with a small backpack to hold any items that fit.
City Running Tours offers tours rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather we will contact you for cancellations and rescheduling. If you do not here from us this means that we are still running.
Once you book your running tour you will received a confirmation email the day before your scheduled tour.
Day of registrations are welcome, however you must notify the City Running Tours manager before hand so we are prepared.
Gratuities are always appreciated, but never expected.
